Actually, with the knife being considered a lethal weapon and him approaching the cops with it, they had every right to shoot him. The cops probably realized that he was a suicide case and they refused to shoot him and took him down any way they could without killing him.

They should have just shot him, now we, the tax payers will have to pay for "rehabilitation". IMO criminals should have no rights, it's BS that they can sue people for injuries they sustain while in the commission of crime. Once you choose to break the law and become a violent criminal they you should have no more rights at all.

Agreed... but the cops didnt want to do a suicide's dirty work for him. I personally would have broke out the Rodney King 15th Anniversary Mag light and whooped his *** before I threw the cuffs on him!
