Thats either a big *** cam or he has a head gasket leak. Thats what mind sounded like in the morning when I would crank it. Then finally the high idle kicked in and it would smooth out.

I've never heard a cam that was that consistent though.

Thats what my car sounds like right now, haha, Only because of fouled spark plugs and crossed wires.

oh that's weird. you can hear every time the engine turns, it needs to take a quick rest before it turns again LOL.

Not sure on the cam specs but I know that it's a pretty good sized Crane cam. I seem to remember the intake lift being in the .56X or .57X' range, lost the specs we had written down. I'll try to find out the cam specs from the previous owner of the car that had the engine built. The motor is a 347 stroker w/ around 11:1 cr, Edebrock Victor Jr. heads, Edelbrock victor 5.0 intake manifold, etc.
