Let me tell you a little about this car. I found this car through many internet searches in January 2002. It was located at Woodhouse Ford in Nebraska. The car only had 7000 Miles at the time. I talked with the former owner of the car beofre purchasing it. He told me that he purchased the car new at a different dealership in Nebraska, but had all the warranty work performed at Woodhouse Ford. He then told me he never was satisfied with the quality of the paint, and the stiff clutch. The dealership replaced both C-Pillars and installed a new clutch at about 4000 miles. I double checked his story by getting an Oasis report at a local Ford Dealer. The Oasis is a little misleading IMO. The Oasis said in Septmember of 2001, that the "roof" was replaced. The roof has NOT been replaced. The clutch on Cobras is stiff from the factory, and in all probability it did not need to be replaced. I asked the former owner the last time we spoke if he had ever owned a Mustang. His reply was "No, and I dont think I ever will, I have owned nothing but BMW's, Hondas, etc. I did not know these cars (mustangs) were built so poorly." "I only used it on weekends and never drove it in the rain. I was afraid of all the wheelspin is why I never drove it in the rain." We all know as Mustang owners that these cars sometimes have quality issues from the factory. But we all overlook small imperfections since we love these muscle cars so much. I purchased the car over the internet without even seeing it. I then had it shipped to Texas the following week. The clutch was fine when I received it. I would even go as far to say that it was a little too soft for my taste! I received the car January 15, 2002 at my business when it was unloaded from the dealers' (Woodhouse Ford) enclosed trailer.

Only the best care has been given to this car. It has always had Mobil-1 in the engine, and synthetic fluids in the transmission and the differential. I switched to Amsoil for the last 2 oil changes. Oil changes were made every 3 months reagardless of mileage. The last time I changed the oil, I had only driven it 500 miles in 3 months! It has NEVER been driven in the rain or any other inclement weather. In February of 2002 shortly after purchasing the car I took it to the local SVT dealer in my area (Nichols Ford) to have a wind noise problem fixed. I was sure it was from the C-Pillar. A porter at the dealer drove the car through the parking lot, bottoming it out in a low spot of their parking lot. It damaged the front fascia an dneeded replacement. I took the car to a body shop that I trusted to have it replaced. They replaced the front fascia, and perfectly matched the paint. You cannot tell there was ever any damage whatsoever. The license plate holes are now filled, which helps the looks of the car. That is the only body work the car has had while I have owned it. Only Zaino Brothers Wax and their other products have been used since I purchased it. The whole car is wiped down (including the wheels) after every time it has been driven. I cannot tell you how many hours have been spent keeping this car in showroom condition! I detail it weekly, even if doesnt need it. Needless to say, the exterior and interior are immaculate. The undercarriage is completely clean and looks factory fresh. There are even Factory tags and markings visible in several spots of the undercarriage. The exterior has no dings, scratches or imperfections, none! The Interior is as immaculate as the exterior. I replaced the stock sttering wheel with a FRPP FR-500 steering wheel. I have replaced the cheap leather upholstered stock Cobra seats with a set of Black Cloth Recaro SRD Seats. These hold me in much better than the stock seats could, and give you a much better driving position compared to the stock seats. Not to mention they look alot cooler also! I found that a Mustang GT Dark Graphite Cloth rear seat would match the Recaros quite nicely. Now let me say the rear seat is not a *perfect* match, but if I being the picky person I am can live with it, I am pretty sure the new owner of this car wont mind at all.

The drivetrain is in as good condition as the rest of the car. The engine is ALL stock, except for NGK Iridium spark plugs. It has never had any of the common bolt on parts. I have installed a Romac Harmonic Balancer to replace the stock crank damper. This keeps the engine running ultra smooth. I could tell a differnce immediately. The balancer helps keep the oil pump properly balanced, and I think will really help the engine live a longer life than others. I also installed Prothane polyurethane motor mounts to help stop excessive drivetrain movement under load. This really helps keep the shifter from "walking" under moderate to hard acceleration. This speeds up shifting also! The engine is the original engine that came in the car. It has NO issues whatsoever. It does not ping, burn oil, leak oil, knock while idling, smoke or any of the other common problems that some of the 2001's seem to have. It gets 21-25 MPG depending on the circumstances. The transmission is a NEW Tremec T-56 with a NEW MGW shifter, Fidanza Aluminum Flywheel, Spec Stage 2 clutch, Dynotech aluminum driveshaft, and 2003 Cobra Factory transmission mount. Looking from underneath the car, it looks like a factory installation. The reverse lock-out switch for the T-56 is wired to the brake lights. To shift to reverse, you simply step on the brake first, then you are able to easily shift into reverse. The transmission was replaced due to incompetence, not abuse. I took the car to a local Jiffy lube type of shop that I had used for several years with no problems in April of this year to have the transmission fluid changed. They changed the transmission fluid, but "forgot" to replace the FILL plug after filling thetransmission with fluid. I drove home approximatley 15 miles, apparently the majority of the fluid came out of the case while driving, and the transmission was ruint. Instead of replacing the transmission with another weak noisy 5 speed, I decided on the T-56. The total cost to replace everything, plus installation was around $4000 in late May, early June of this year.

The only modifications performed were in the name of longevity, not performance. I tried to be as tasteful as possible. The modifications are as follows:
