The Bad:
1. Car shifts really hard. Transmission seems to be in good shape and replacing the valve body and 1-2 & 2-3 accumulator springs to the stock should fix this.
2. There is a larger opening in the engine bay where the stock air box use to be. It was modified for the intercooler that was on the front of the car. A piece of aluminum was used to cover the hole and mount holder for new intake.
3. There is a hole in the front bumper where a trailer hitch went into it. I bent up a piece of metal to cover the hole. Looks good and you cannot tell anything is wrong.
4. Noticeable exhaust leak on the driver side.
5. Cuts in door panel for roll bar fitment. I have new door panels to go in. There are two holes that have been filled in the rear side panels from a light bar that use to be installed. There are 4 half dollar size holes in the carpet from where the roll bar was installed. Two locations on the back seat are stitched up from where the roll bars use to go through them.
6. Plastic cowl cover is cracked.
7. Noticeable noise from the pinion or a carrier bearing. Not always apparent.
8. The car was rear ended twice last year. Very minor and at low speeds. Cosmetic damage and exhaust was repair both times. The year before, the car was hit in the side as someone was coming out of a parking lot. Again, it was at very low speed. All work was completed a D&V Auto body in Va.
The Good:
1. VA inspection good through 6/12.
2. The car runs good. This car is my daily driver and I feel very confident getting in it each day that it will get me where I need to go.
3. The body is in good shape (less the front bumper, but you can’t see the damage).
4. There is no play in the steering wheel. With the addition of the MM Solid steering shaft, there is no rag joint to go bad.
5. Paint is in really good shape and shines up very well.
6. Aside from the holes in the carpet and panels if a few spots, the interior of the car is very clean.
7. All audio components and power accessories in the car work great.
8. Convertible top components work great. Goes up and down with ease.
