mustang in montana
hey everyone, glad to be here. This is such a fantastic website. I bought my first mustang back in 2000 and got hooked the first time I test drove the car. The car was a 1989 notchback mustang with cold air intake, underdrive pullies, offroad h-pipe, and flowmaster exhaust. So, I ask him how much he wants for it, he then says is $1300 fair? I said yes it's fair (but inside I was screaming yehaa!) and wrote him a check before he could change his mind. $1300 for a car that could lay rubber in the first three gears seemed like a great deal even though it had 120,000 miles on the odometer. I then had five years of fun with the car autocrossing, drag racing, and scenic drives.
Then I saw a picture of what the 2005 mustang was going to look like, and just had to get one. So I put my 1989 mustang up for sale for $1500 and with about 192,000 mile on the odometer. My phone was ringing off the hook. The first guy who came and looked at it paid me full price for it. Then I spent the next 5 months trying to find an 05 mustang (nov 04-mar. 05). In feb. I heard there was one coming to a local dealership the next day. I drove straight down to the dealership and put some money down on it. Then I waited one and a half months for it to come in. It never showed up. In the meantime I had found an mineral grey Gt loaded with bullet wheels that had been sitting down in Idaho for a month and a half. In march 05 mustangs were really hard to come by so I was in shock that it was still there when I called. I called my dealership and told them that I was going to buy the grey one. They understood so I went down to twin falls and picked it up the next day. Talk about getting looks, It was like nowbody had seen one. The power was very impressive. I love the car just as much today as the first day. There's my story. Thanks E
