Default Hi All-

New guy to the forms here.

I have a 68 fastback that was my dads car (TR), the stang has been in my garage for several years with nothing done to it. The car has gone thru somthing of a restoration, not to original and not a modern driver. It would take very little to get to the point of driving, but I would like to modernize it to a fun ride that I could use as an occasional commute car (it shouldnt get much worse mileage than my 250 diesel), and have it be a clean restomod like my dad would have enjoyed.

What I am planning:
Seat belts
Convert Auto to T-5 using cable clutch
Carb,manifold, cam combo
Power brakes
Disk brake conversion (SSBC, Granada or others)
Suspension upgrade (many options here)

I will do more reading and ask questions before I purchase anything. I look forward to your guys help.

Thanx
Chris

Edit:

The original 289 was rebuilt or swaped to a 302 but still 2 barrel carbs. The car had been previously stripped to bare metal and recieved paint. The interior and head liner was replaced with a grey velvet looking material. Also add to the above mod list headers and exhaust.
