Here's a pic of the new C&L CAI I just installed this Friday. I have pics of the whole process if anyone is interested in seeing the steps. It was pretty easy. And as I said before - very effective with the Brenspeed 87 octane tune.. I am taking more full car pics tomorrow and will post soon.

I dont really know what other people think, but I believe you should 93 tune it. If you can afford that godly car (I love it by the way), you should be throwing 93 in it and tune it for that. You wont regret it! Beautiful car I hope you have fun and it looks like you already are!

Nice looking ride yourself!!! Regarding 93 tune ... I haven't found a station with 93 around here yet.. I did just get done about an hour ago filling up with 91 and flashing the 91 tune. Strangely enough it almost seemed to be lagging a little on the way home compared to before... but that could be the rest of the 87 burning out under 91 tune settings and not working quite right yet... i don't know... we'll see later tonight or tomorrow I guess if it is any better. You bring up a good topic though... The car was designed to run on 87, and I've always heard that if its not pinging, then you are wasting moneyputting in higher octane. There are always people who refuse to believe that and think if its "more" be it money or octane rating, then it must be better. I honestly don't have enough conclusive info one way or the other - hence I am trying it out to see what happens... It seems logically that it should be more powerful.... but logic is not always reality.

Weird thing though is that in the last Mustang Enthusiast edition, where they install the CAI and use the same sct x-2 tuner I did (from a different shop so the tune was prob a little different) I noticed the dyno numbers in the chart photo for the 93 were actually lower than the 87.. either they did not notice this, or the charts were backwards or something... but I found that odd..... I have looked at it a few times, trying to see if the numbers are in a different scale or something and all i see is the graph is a little smaller on one, but the increments look the same.... I dunno...... Anybody have any conclusive proof of better performance with a higher octane on the 2005-2006 Mustangs ?

Heres some more pics..

Disregard comment about dyno test. It was the review of the superchips tuner, not the c&L and predator.... and the graph is correct.. And after a few days of driving with the 91 it does seem a little more ballsy - but also seems to have a bit of the 3rd gear lag - but not that bad..
