I'm here thanks to Dad!
Hello guys! I'm new to this site and will prob be spending a lot of time here in the next few years. I've always been a GM guy, but my father recently passed away and left me his 64.5 convertible. He's owned it for about 10 years and bought it after a fellow had just restored it back then. I've been taking care of it and helping my dad with it for the last 3 years or so. If it gets 200 miles on it a year, that's a lot. I would have to give it a 6 or 7 on a scale of 1-10. It looks great, is white with black int and top, has the original knockoff hubcaps, but the resto wasn't a complete frame-off.....it's great for a daily driver as it always turns heads, but I don't have to fear it showing wear and tear, because it already does. It has the straight six. The only major thing I'd like to do to it in the future, is put a small v-8 in it and make it more reliable for weekend cruises with my family. Some day I'll be asking you guys to point me in the right direction for this. I really miss my dad, and will always be able to see him sitting in this car, or standing with his head under the hood. I plan to keep the car and pass it on to my boys, who are just 5 and 7 now.

Welcome! What a great story man, that car has some good memories. It looks pretty darn good too!
