hello to all i have a 1976 mustang cobraII 289 4speed and a 1998 3.8 that i swaped to a 5.0 auto cobra wheels stalker kit with air ram hood finishing body work i have had alot of mustangs and i love them like they never built any thing else my 76 is a weekend car and my 98 is everyday driver nothing to brag about but it sounds good and has alot more power i went carb and it was so cheap to build and only took 10 days if any one has any questions about the swap my eml is jim76mustang@yahoo.com thanks the reason is before i did the swap i checked out every web sight and all i seen was dude buy a gt and it would cost $2500 to $5000 to do but thats wrong if you dont want a full race car and want a every day driver i can tell you how i did it for under $500 and just about any one can do it with a little know how its your choice weather to go injection or carb you dont have to change k member suspention or brakes or wiring harness you can even use a 84- 89 eletronic modual distibutor and coil and you dont have to change the computer with minor wiring and sencer change every thing works but the tach and i had to make a shifter bracket for the cable to mount to the trans i would have worked on the tach but i felt it wasnt needed and didnt waist my time and it runs as well as my friends 95 gt and rides as well im going to change it to 5 speed later and the gas millage is better than my friends 95 gt 5.0 5 speed
