Stripe or not to stripe?

Stripe or not to stripe?
Hello all, just joined the MF, enjoying reading the posts and viewing all the pictures. I just bought a 06 Black, red leather interior, GT premium, 5 sp manual. I put Bullitt rims on, and I'm considering having two 10 to 12inch stripes painted down the center 1.5 inches apart. They would go from the front bumper complete to the rear.
I considered temp stripes, but I didn't want to have an edge, and wanted to look smooth as glass when done.
I couldn't get into the paint shop for a while and now the solid black is growing on me. I have an appointment on Monday, so yes or no? What are your thoughts and if possible pictures.
Next mods are CAI and a tune, throttle body spacer. Any recommendations?
Thanks in advance for the help.

RE: Stripe or not to stripe?
I would say to save your money and stay with the solid black. Not only that, but if you ever go to sell it or trade it, it will probably be worth more without the stripes, as some people just don't like them that much and it would turn away potential buyers. If some buyer wanted them later, then they could add them. But I think they look good either way, so if you really want them get them, you only live once, and they look good either way.

RE: Stripe or not to stripe?
As soon as I ordered my '06 I started looking to stripe it. Decided I didn't want vinyl, limited colors and a chance they wound peel. Besides I didn't want the ridges. Was lucky enough to find a paint man who was both good and fair. After I saw the finished product I really can't imagine the car without them. Bob, my paint guy, also mixes his own paint so I gould have any color I wanted. I have a '06 Premium Coupe Tungsten with dark grey stripes. He did it right sanded, painted, and cleared, no ridges. They look like they're embedded in glass. Sure dresses it up.
Mine are 10" with 1 1/2 space. They line up perfectly with the inside of my fog lights. They run pan to pan.
I plan to put together a gallery soon. Good Luck on whatever decision you make.
