Well, I did it. Traded my little girl ('02 X-Type 3.0 Sport) for a new little girl! An '06 V6 Premium convertible in silver & black. Just the interior upgrade additional, nothing else special. I no longer needed an all-year car (now have a Windstar winter-beater), and I really like the mod-yet-retro Mustang style.

Depreciation on the X-Type was a bit hard to choke down... But w/ X-plan, the rebate, and the 0%/36mo, it seemed like a good time to jump. I'll miss a lot of the niceties the Jag has, but the tradeoff is worth it.

Time to start reading this board in ernest instead of just scanning for common problems... I'm looking for "subtle" mods; the sorts of things that are simple & modern. Comfort & minialism over performance. Though I'll probably start with the audio -- the Shaker 500 is a good start (better than the X-type's stock), but I know I'll be yearning for a little bit more.
