Well i just kinda stumbled upon this forum one day well looking for info on a mustang I was looking to purchase. Well now i'm back again looking for the answer to my problem. But first a little run down.

its a 95 Dark Green Auto V6. Picking it up from a friend for a steal!

The problem is the auto tranny is stuck in nuetral or reverse.....didnt try pushing it forward only backwards and it rolled back. It wont go into park and moving the shifter is hard as hell! I can move the shifter into the position for park and all other gears but it wont go into them. Also its not starting......i was by a mechanic friend that the tranny linkage cable is whats causing this. Could this be true?

Thanks Guys. I figured maybe i'd just post it in here, but next time ill make sure i put it in the right subforum.

Anywho we found out it is just the shifter cable sence its not moving a inch no matter how much we move the shifter. But a new one is $125.....so now i gotta find one cheaper.
