Hey Gang. I hope I can gets lots of info here as I am a new Mustang Owner. I bought an '05 4.6ltr Mustang in March, jet black, 2 3/4" Ex., chipped, tranny shift kit, SCREAMS. Then I saw a 1965 Coupe 6 cyl, 3 speed, just sitting at this guys that I know house. I called and he said I could have it for $1500.00 if I came and got it that day. Now I am switching off driving both. Here's the first question, should I restore the 1965 to original, or make a rocket out of it. I mean I get the speed ruch with the '05, but I am torn on what to do with the '65 now. It needs some body and glass work done, of course. The whole car needs to be gone through, there are wires hanging eveywhere. It is driveable and starts everytime....so....do I refurb....or do I drop the 289 V8 into it and build around that. Oh, I almost forgot, the '65 is matching numbers on engine and body, the engine has 68K original miles, clean, I am the third owner and the engine is soldi and doesn't smoke a drop. Please give me your input......decisions, decisions, decisions.......standing by in Idaho :-)

It takes a big budget to do an engine swap and make the 289 fast. I say restore the i6 and keep modding the '05.
