Just want to introduce myself and my rides.
Well, I've got some time to kill here at work so I'd thought I'd introduce myself. I actually registered back in 2003 but forgot about the site and didn't post much (sorry). A couple of weeks ago I stumbled onto the site, logged in and realized I was already registered here! The main object of my obsession is an '89 LX convertible. I primarily frequent the '4 cyl N/A Turbo' section 'cause 3 of my 4 vehicles are turbo'd. I also own and '86 TC, '96 Volvo 850 Turbo and '95 Dodge Dakota pickup.
The Mustang dubbed 'Thunderstang' was purchased bone stock for $1500. It came with an 88 hp 2.3, 16" Cobra R's, fresh paint and a new top. I drove it that way for 2 years and enjoyed the top down part immensely! In late 2004 I decided to go turbo. You can see the buildup on my cardomain page. 2005 just turned out to be a really bad year for me so Thunderstang was put on the back burner for awhile. My problems continued into 2006 but by April they were pretty much over. In the meantime I purchased my '86 TC for $900 and I've been tinkering with that for awhile. But, come late October/November, all efforts (and cash) are going back to Thunderstang! Here's a few pics................................

RE: Just want to introduce myself and my rides.
welcome back to the site... since you're in CA, you might be interested in checking us out at the California Mustang Club. we're very big in northern CA, especially the Bay Area, and we're always looking for new members who love their Mustangs. we have a very active membership, weekly/monthly get-togethers (we call 'em GTG's), car shows, supporting vendors offering member discounts, and more. we'll be at the Fun Ford Sunday at the Solano County Fairgrounds, Vallejo, this Sunday (9/10) from 8:30 to 2:30. if you get a chance, come on out and see us.
here's a link to our website:

hope to see you over there... and in Vallejo this Sunday.
