Default New To The Forum

Greetings To All...

My Mustang came to me quite by accident. It's a 1998 3.8L V6 and it has 78,000 miles on it. I work for a dealership in Miami and the car was traded in on a new car. The car wasn't in great shape and was in need of basic repairs but I found myself imagining what I could do with it. (I think the car talked to me but that's another story) I was in need of an inexpensive car and the price was right so I bought it and I've never been happier. My vision for this car (her name is Elaine) is "nice show with a little more than average go" and I have my wish list all made up. The paint on the car had faded on the hood so I had the car buffed out and I threw down three coats of wax so far. I had to replace the headlights as one of the original lights was broken. I debated long and hard as to just replace the original or go with another look, I opted to get a clear one piece assembly. I did the usual change engine and tranny oil, fuel filter, and tune up to start and last night I replaced the worn ball joints, struts and shocks. I would have liked to put some adjustable struts and shocks but my budget is tight. I transferred my music system from my other car and it really sounds great in the smaller cabin. I've read some of the post on the V6 forum and it has helped immesurably. I'll keep you guys posted as I upgrade and if anyone lives in the Miami area and has a V6 with a good exhaust sound... hit me back.
