hey im 15, been brasinwashed into f-bodies and GM and im on the eve of getting my first car. i have heard the story of the camaro and heard of the rivalries, so i was just wondering.....WHY THE MUSTANG? i am serious here... i dunno why so many people like mustangs but i wanna find out tho. i wanna own the pimpest car in town!

Why the Mustang? Well, I'll give you my opinion. I chose the Mustang because of the looks, the sound, the heads that turn when I drive by. It's every bit a way of life with us Mustang lovers just like the Camaro is a way of life with you Camaro lovers. Every one has their own reason why they love their Mustang, and why they chose Mustang over Camaro. That was mine. You want "da pimpest car in town"? Get a Mustang.

ive always liked both. i like SS's, but, ive always LOVED mustangs. especially Fox bodies(i got a '92 GT). like White said, heads turn, no matter which one you drive. if you have exhaust, heads turn. PERIOD. but, good luck on deciding. i say go with the 'Stang

plus, i think 5.0's are cheaper to mod and mods are more plentiful, but, SS's are a VERY good platform to work with too !!

I went with the Camaro because I have also been GM brainwashed my entire life ("The Chevy 350 is the best engine ever made."-dad). I also have no money for mods so I went with what made the most power out of the box that I could get financed. If you want to mod something older cheaply and easily to go stupid fast, even GM guys have gotta admit that the '87-'93 5.0 has no equal. Looks pretty good, too, IMO. If you want something that looks pimp, Pontiacs have more style and character than Camaros and are mechanically identical. Hope this helps.

dollar for dollar the small block chevy will give more power not nocking ford just my view

Redline makes a great point.. anything with a V8 is good. I am a bit opinionated toward the Mustang because it is what I drive. The bottom line is to drive them both and see which one you like the best. It's all about what you want... no one else.
