From '65 to '95
Hi All,
New member to the forum. Owned a 1965 Mustang (289, 4bbl, 4 spd) as my 2nd car in 1974. Now, my son just got a '95 SVT Cobra as his first car. From generation to generation..... Anyway, off to search for how to clean the yellowed headlights and adjust the idle......

Welcome to the forums. You are a cool dad for passing the stang legacy on to your son. My dad is more of a GM guy but i still love my GT. Id probably get clear corner headlights or if you cant do that, then use some good wax. All i know about adjusting the idle on my car is turning the Idle screw on my throttle body. Best luck to you.

welcome aboard. i agree with Redline. youre good dad to pass on the legacy. and, its the last year of the great, beloved 5.0. and its a Cobra. doesnt get any better than that, unless its black or white. you could always get smoked headlights instead of clear depending on if the car is a darker color not. but, again, welcome

Hi Redline,
Thanks for the warm welcome. The 5.0 idles high in between shifts (stays at 2000-2500) and when coming to a stop with the clutch in, it also stays at around 2 grand until the car is completely stopped. Then it goes down to 1000 (which still seems high). I could probably adjust the at rest idle as you say, but I can't figure out why it stays high all the rest of the time. Any thoughts? If it was a carb, I'd say the auto choke or cold idle lobe was sticking. Not sure about TBI.
Thanks.
