Default emission faults

<IMG src=smileys/smiley19.gif border="0">Hi .Ive got a 1995 mustang 50 ,Its in the uk but it was exported to Japan when it was new.It has to meet certain emission criteria before it can be used in the uk.IT went for test and failed because it had an exeptionally highLAMDA READING. the CO and hc values were OK but the Lamda readings were about 1.6 .It has had new o2 sensors fitted but the prob remained, there was no air filter fitted so I pulled the MAFout &amp; sure enough the thing was covered in .... I refitted the the thing &amp; the readings came down to 1.03 on the left hand bank (acceptable) ,but 1.04 on the rh bank ,The co &amp;hc readings are exellent but with the high lamda figs it will fail any future test.Has anyone got any ideas on the matter.<edited><editID>barrygmoran</editID><editDate>37815.7828125</editDate></edited>
