Welcome and just ask. Go to, since you have a 95, go to the 5.0 section and ask. Plenty of people in here know lots about what is going on under the hood of your GT. I read your post on your transmission and you never asked a question.... All you have to do is ask here and someone will know and if not they will know where to find out! Welcome to the boards and good luck with your Pony! Where are you located at?

Welcome to the forums. The first place Id start is with a basic tune up (oil change, plugs, wires cap and rotor and an air filter). then after I decided whether or not I liked the was it ran Id start with a few mods. What kind of overall shape is it in?? Was it a too good to pass up deal or a hand me down?? I think I would have held out a little longer if the only one I found was "ragged", but I also know how impatience can be. So congrats on the new stang.

Sounds good. Since youve already done all that, Id probably start with something simple and affordable like exhaust, CAI, maybe even headers. The headers can be a pain in the a$$ but worht it. Maybe a short throw if its a 5-speed or have a set of gears done. I would say that of all I mentioned , gears would be the most noticeable for the $$$.

You might ask the mechanic about a shift kit. its always cool to scratch second in an auto. Plus if your mechanic is good he can do it by just leaving out or modifying a few parts. Or you could buy a kit and have it installed when they do the valvebody. Its a good start.

Not to sure on an AODE, but you can chack out www.summitracing.com and they carry all different brands and levels of shift kits. Im sure places like JEGS and other parts/racing distributors will cary these also.
