New 2007 Owner, Hi All
Evening all, I just bought a 2007 two days ago and tonight did a search and came up with this forum.
I mostly joined for info on increasing performance without breaking the warranty or breaking the bank.
Ideas I am familiar with are a computer chip, air intake, exhaust and premium gas.
Any suggestions are more than welcome as well as any questions about my new ride.
My comments about the new car are kinda limited since I've only had it 2 days but some things definately stand out:
looks: damn this car looks awesome
performance/HP/torque: Wow! only had it up to about 120 so far on a back road, this thing is fast and corners like its on rails
traction control/ABS: never had a car with traction control b4, used it yesterday for 150 miles of miserable heavy/light rain driving to visit the family for Thanksgiving and it is incredible, almost impossible to break loose with the TC on
Sirius satellite: again, really cool, also have internet radio which I am listening to right now
My only complaints so far:
interior/plastics/fit does look/feel cheap which is consistent with reviews
you have to be a contortionist to reach back for the seatbelt
stuff like cupholders, storage space, etc, lacking compared to most modern cars
Things I miss about my Sebring that I traded in:
ride comfort
luxury feel
auto dimming rearview mirror
sun roof
leather
trunk and fuel door releases in passenger compartment
fuel economy
Things that are better with the Stang:
looks(although the Sebring looked pretty good)
performance(no comparison)
Hope you all have a good evening, and please get back to me with performance upgrade parts/info if you're in the know.
Thanks,
Lance

Hi Lance and welcome! Please tell us more about your ride. What color is it, and did you get the vert? the premium? etc. In any case congrats on your new stang! I think mine is very comfortable, although I did purchase the "comfort group" so that's probably why. In any case, enjoy! In my humble opinion, these are the best looking cars on the road!!

Thanks for the welcomes. What I meant by ride comfort is the softer plusher road feel the Sebring had which I am more than happy to give up for the awesome handling on my Mustang. I actually like the drivers seat in my Mustang better, it feels like it is holding or gripping me in place.
Here is the model I got:
2007 GT Coupe Deluxe, black clearcoat with dark charcoal cloth sport bucket seats
Options:
5-speed auto trans
18" polished aluminum wheels with 235/50/ZR18s
Interior upgrade package(every Stang I looked at had this, I think it should be standard lol)
Active anti-theft system
Wheel lock kit
Sirius satellite radio
Shaker 500 audio system

OK, I FINALLY got a digital camera so I will try and figure out how to put up some pics. If it doesn't go right, I would appreciate any advice.
Alright, well I see that you can only have a max of 400 KB for all pics so I only did 3 of them and clicked embed picture in post but I still don't see them. Maybe they will show up once I actually post.

OK, so it did work, LOL. Be nice to just be able to copy/paste for the mentally challenged like me...

Thanks Jay, you gave me plenty of advice when I first joined, it's just that I didn't have a camera at that time. As soon as I recover from Christmas(say by mid-year or so,LOL), I am going to get the CAI, tuner, and tunes from Brenspeed.
