Default Hey Guys

Hey, I am from Clarkston, Washington, and i have always loved mustangs. I bought my Jeep Cherokee for my first car(im 17 now) and i have enjoyed working on it, but my family is building a shop right now, and my dad is awesome at helping me and my bro out with stuff. Anyways, i have decided that i want to build a drag car from a mustang. I have the Jeep as my DD, so this will be a track only car(unless some kid in a honda wants to see what a real car can do)

As of now, im looking for a 94-95 Mustang. and I Plan on doing a 12 pt. Roll Cage, Back Half it, ladar bar suspension, coil overs, Rear tubs, and some other stuff to start with. For the engine, i would like to go with a 460 Big Block, Bored and Stroked to 514 with some nitrous, and the cobra jet heads. And i will mate that to a TCI Competition C-6 Transmission.

Has anyone on this forum done anything like this before? I can see that i will be needing a lot of help with this stuff, my dad is a certified welder, and he has built many engines, he even has a 427 sideoiler that used to be in his truck. but, that is the plan and what times in the 1/4 do you guys think i could manage to do with this set up?

i also would like to know if i could pull this behind my jeep. If i cant, we have an 04 excursion, but if i built a trailer, would it be possible to tow this car to the track? im guessing that the car will weigh about 3000 pounds, maybe 3500....my max towing capacity is 5000#.....i think it would be ok, i have a 5-speed, so going down grades i wouldnt have to be on the brakes....

also, if you guys have pics of your cars being towed on trailers, it would be great!
