May sound like a dumb question...
I don't really know where to put this question, and if someone would answer so that I know where to focus this type of question later, I'd be grateful:
I'm an old Corvette owner, having a '74 Corvette. The Corvettes have different styles associated to them over the years, running as such -
C1 - 1953-1963
C2 - 1964-1967
C3 - 1968-1982
C4 - 1984-1996
C5 - 1997-2004
C6 - 2005-Current
Do the Mustangs have such a designation for the different styles/chassis? I know that they changed to a funky Torino style look back in the 70's when the Mach 1 came out, different from the original classics, and the 80's versions have a more squared off body compared to the 90's era, which was when style started to return to the Mustangs and now they've got the retro look to them.
Anyone know if there's any designations for the different eras?

RE: May sound like a dumb question...
Thanks, will do.
I'm starting to become a forum troll here...I just bought a 2007 Mustang GT, but my family's had Mustangs in their past. My dad used to own a '67 Mustang that started life with a 289 that he replaced with a 302, then he had an '81 or '82 (not sure which year it was) that had a square bodied look and a V6 engine in it that he said just wouldn't die.
And now, I've got the '07 Mustang GT. Now, if I could just get my mom to leave my keys alone and stop putting miles on it (the first night she got it she was trying to drag race some kids at a stoplight with me in the car) I'd be ok!

They do have the categories like the corvette, it kinda goes like this:
Classic
Fox Body
SN95 (94-98)
SN95 "New Edge" (99-04)
S197 (05+)
Welcome to the mustang community!
