91 lx 5.0 coupe
I just recently baught my first mustang a 1991 lx 5.0 coupe with 56k original miles on it and from the original owner for $3,500. The only bad thing about the car is that it is automatic. But besides that could I still make the car respectable and what do you guys think the first mods I should do? thanks for the help.

personally...i think cylinder heads...cause your other mods just cant be used to their fullest potential without them. x-pipe and exhaustis also good. long pipe headers. cold air intake is good too. tires are a good one, but they wear out, so i'd probably do that after you have a few good mods cause why waste good tires on no mods, right?

Yea. What kind of heads would you prefer gt40 or ford racing. Also y anX pipe rather than H pipe. I know i will probably get a BBK cold air intake. What kind fo headers would you prefer? thanks

ok...just a forwarning...i am 15 and i learned much of what i know on here...gt-40's is what everyone with a 5.0 has that i know of. x pipe is better cause it flows better i guess...h pipe is still ok, but it doesnt come together to one point, but is rather 2 parallel pipes connected by a perpendicular one. headers...bbk is good bang for buck i hear. mac is cheap but so is the quality (i hear). anyone who knows things from experience that im wrong of please step in. anyone who agrees with me from experience alsotell.

also...off-road x-pipe is better because it has no catalytic converters. but if you have to take smog tests or whatever, or just feel like not burning that atmosphere, then a catted x-pipe is still a step up.

Heads, cam, intake, exhaust, all of these work together.Think of you engine as a air pump, the more air and fuel you can move through it, the more HP you will make. Just make sure to do your homework to get the right combination, if not you will be throwing your $ away.
