New stanger has questions
Hello fellow Stangers. What were about to discuss is a Red 02 gt conv. Upgrades so far... Underdrive pulleys, throttle body & plenum, cold air pipe, shorty headers, flow masters, lunar gauges, stereo, 18" wheels.
Project "Pony rebuild" is about to get underway now that winter is kreeping up.
1. What I would like to do is install lowering springs, anybody have inputs?
2. Install tach, Anyone tell me wire numbers or should I say pin numbers I need to hook tach driver up at the computer? My directions say to wire driver under the hood to the crank sensor. To wet under there.
3. Install water temp gauge..Where in the world is the factory sender I need to replace? I'm aware of the sender on the cross over pipe up front but was told this MUST remain in place.
4. lastly, I would like some input on installing a chip. Will I see the gains or am I better off having someone plug up and do what ever they do to the computer?
Thank you and talk to you soon.

RE: New stanger has questions
firstly, welcome aboard. seems like you got a good start so far. now, #1. Eibachs, or Steeda. prolly the 2 best on the market. #2 & #3. I DONT KNOW. #4. you can always get a reprogrammable hand held one. Diablosport is probably #1 right now, but, idk. i dont know a lot about chips. either that, or you can order one from JET already preprogrammed for your application, OR, take it somewhere, get it on a chassis dyno, and get it tuned there. theyll do your a/f ratio, timing, fuel pressure, all that good stuff and get you running RIGHT........IF they know what theyre doing. go to somebody reputable around where you live and everything should be fine.
