Default Another 'Stang newb

Well...First post here and my first stang. So here goes!

The car (sorry, digicam on the fritz):

'91 GT 5 Speed
Double black
PW/PL/Cruise/Air/Factory Sun Roof (aka HEAVY!)
Awesome condition. Always garaged. Smashed dr fender and door at some point, no structural damage to be found. It could use new paint. Purchased it bone stock (except FRPP plug wires...) from the second owner in August '06 with 78,000 miles.

Since then:
New heater core (with only a few suicicidal moments)
High flow 180 stat
FRPP "mild" (~3/4" drop) lowering springs
Polyurethane spring bushings/sway bar ends
Performance alignment
Cross drilled rotors / ceramic pads

Immediate future (winter) plans:
MM subs/strut brace
Bump steer correction (haven't decided on what method yet)
Battle Boxes / Lift bars
Gasket matched Cobra intake (sitting on shelf, waiting for me)
70mm TB, 75mm MAF
Full SS exhaust/headers
Some sort of half worthy tires (leaning to M/T ET Streets)
All the 5.0 101 stuff (timing, air silencer, etc, etc)
Try like the devil to get the thing to hook before spring! No traction doesn't describe 1st, 2nd and sometimes 3rd gears...

After traction:
373s
X-brace/shaft hoop
larger fuel pump, regulator
150 shot

I'm hunting for mid to low 12s on a very street friendly (and heavy) car. Depending on the results from the chassy stiffening and tuning I may not opt for the nitrous and just build a bit more N/A power.

Me:
Professionally I'm a Mechanical Design Engineer for an automotive supplier to mostly Honda and Toyota. I just graduated from Purdue in May and bought the car as a graduation gift to myself. Truthfully, I'm sort of dyed in the wool as an AMC guy but I just couldn't find a good 2 seater AMX in my budget. So... I snagged my 5.0 and I've been really happy with it so far. It joined my already over-populated harem of: '99 Jeep Wrangler (4.0/5 Speed/Sahara/soft top... Goes 16.6 @ 81 with a curb weight of 3700lbs and horrible 3:08s, 2.3 60' though), '89 S-10 (2.5/5-speed/3.08 gear swap, 30 mpg at 80 all 200,000 miles. ..), and '83 AMC Eagle (4.2/5 Speed/3:54 gear swap/powertrax rear/4" lift "in the build", 4.6 supercharged I-6 stroker "in the build", XJ front suspension swap). Soo... I'm vehicle and project heavy at the moment and am no brand loyalist. I decided to jump on here because I've gotten a lot of help from the posts and links from this forum and I'm thinking about buying some stuff out of the for sale section. I just didn't want to try to do business as a total stranger.

Anyone else in the greater Dayton, OH or Fort Wayne, IN area? (I relocated from Fort Wayne for my job).

Thanks guys! (btw - is there a reason my arrow keys don't work while posting on this forum?)

T: It's not much of a 'stang yet, but I'm working on it, and I'm on a severe budget. I gotta get the shop in order first. I just moved outta my pop's garage in Octobter so I'm starting at ground zero again. Dollar per fun minute it's a really hard car to beat. I snagged it up for $3600, which is about 1/3 of what I was going to spend on an X.

Roaddane: There are more of us than you might think...

My TJ vs. my buddy's Car Craft Big Bad Orange 390 AMX:
