Just got my first Stang!!!
Hello everyone, Just joined the club and thought I would tell my story.
Last week I bought my very first Mustang (and american car). I live in Scotland and have wanted a mustang since driving one in the Bahamas in 1998.
The car is a 1984 20th Aniversary GT 350 hatch with the four cylinder turbo engine, I believe this is the only one of its kind in the UK. I picked the car up from the Isle of White (off the south coast of England) and drove it straight up to Glasgow (central Scotland), it was about 450 miles in total. The longest journey the car had driven in the last three years was about 20 miles so I was a little nervous about the trip. Anyway everything went fine, the engine feels strong and the car drives well. It needs a little tlc but I will be spending a lot of time working on it over the next year or so.
So there you go, I got my first stang and I love it.

welcome to the forums. congrats on the purchase. thatd be our SVO im guessing. not bad lil cars. just, nothin compared to the v8's(do you have the v8 'Stangs over there ??). either way, congrats on the car, have fun w/ her, and welcome to the boards. "enjoy your stay". "well leave the light on for ya". HAHA.

Thanks for your warm welcomes. Mustangs have never (and never will be) available in the UK (or europe), the only ones here have been imported from america by private individuals. I would have much prefered a V8 but Im afraid there just isnt many about and the ones that are here sell for far more than they are worth. I am happy I got the GT 350 as it is the only of its type here in the UK. Here is a picture for those interested.
