What's Up?

New guy here.Interested in a little background? Too bad your gonna here it anyway. Started my Mustang enthusiasm with a 98 GT a few years back. It was a really nice car up until I took on a guard rail at about 104 MPH.... Guard rail won. Who knew? So, I find myself back in a GT (1996)after promising my wife I wouldnt wreck this one. She's not as nice (the 96 GT, not my wife) as my 98 was, but I have a family so budget is a very important word. Picked it up for $5000 and I have done a fair amount of work on it so far to include.......LUK clutch, 70mm TB, MAC CAI, H-pipe (no cats), Flowmaster cat-back, new rack and pinion, rear wheel bearings and oil seals, heavy duty u-joints, front brakes, intake manifold (mine was cracked so I pulled one off a police interceptor), Kumho tires (17'), the usual fluid changes, white face guages, Hurst T handle on my shifter, JVC stereo, smoke colorheadlight covers, new shocks all around, alternator, tensioner pulley, idler pulley, and various other little things here and there. A lot of it has just been maintenance, fixing things that were neglected over the years. Im a do it yourselfer kind of guy, always have been. I really love working on cars, always have. If I don't know how to do something, I like to take on the challenge of something new. Back to the GT- I have owned 22 cars in my lifetime, and the only ones I have been completely satisfied with have been my mustangs. The leather seats are very comfortable, and that is another reason all its own. OK, I suppose thats enough rambling for now, so peace, and thanks for the membership! I will try to get some pictures up soon.

Thanks for the welcome!! I do have a lot of time invested so far, hopefully it will pay off someday (maybe 300 HP ?). Just ordered a set of BBK underdrive pulleys that should arrive monday. Anyhow, posted some pics, and I have to say, you guys have some nice rides! Cool. And yes, 22 cars is my tally thus far including this one.
