RE: New V6 owner (well i will be in 3 weeks)
I've owned all of the fox 5.0's, a '01 3.8 v6, and several 60's stangs. I currently own an '07 4.0 v6, and I gotta tell ya it's probably the most underrated mustang ever. It's probably quicker than any stock fox body car and in the 1/8 th mile only a few 10th off the pace of a GT. If you catch a green driver you can beat the gt's last week I ran a 400 horse GTO and he beat my little stock v-6 by 2/10ths. Hopefully the aftermarket will catch on soon with more parts. I think these cars have a lot of potential.

doubt ill be racing anyone im a bit past all that lol
had a wild youth and some very very fast cars.
im just looking forward to driving slow so everyone can see what the rumbling noise is and who is driving it.
ive not seen any of the new model mustangs in my area, there's a 2003 convert gt my mate owns and a late 60's coupe. driving the new model is gonna really turn some heads

My wife and I went cruisuing every day since Friday night. Covered about 400 miles.
We got thumbs-up from tons of people (even two babes in a GT when we blasted by her in 2nd).
Comments ranged from "Nice car" and "I love your Mustang" to "That's my car!"
I always get the <smoke 'em> hand signals from the teenagers.
Even the NH State Police blew a U-turn and gave me a police escort through North Walpole.
Wasn't that nice of him?
I love driving my pony.

welcome to the forums. you will not be dissapointed by the v6. it has plenty of power for being the 'smaller' motor. when you drive the v6, it feels like a muscle, not a commuter car.like it was said earlier it's on par w/ early 90's gt's and 80's foxes. and the aftermarket can make it about as fast as the previous gen gt.
but it's a great car and i love mine to death. it has delicious torque.

I bought a V6 convertible a few weeks ago. When I saw it available, I thought it would be underpowered and boring, but decided to give it a chance. Hmmm, nice sound, decent punch...SOLD! It's a lot better car than I expected. I read an article in a Canadian magazine and the author popped the hood to make sure it was a V6 after driving it.
