25th anniversery ecu ???

Default 25th anniversery ecu ???
I have a good qustion? I have a 1989 mlx sport 25th anniversery. The ecu in it was blown up when i got it. I need to know if this type of car used a speciall ecu. I got one for the motor that is in it but the ecu does not fit the plug. It has a long peice in the middle that does not let the ecu plug in. I called ford lot and the were no help. Can someone please help me !!!!!!!!!!1 [&o]
