Great Car Show Calendar
Hello, all. I stumbled across this forum via the flier distributed at Fabulous Fords this weekend. I was updating my car show calendar on the Internet and thought I'd post about it here. I realize this is sort of a blatant advertisement, but you might find something useful on my site.
I publish a zip-code searchable car show calendar on the 'Net. We've actually got patents pending on our search technology but the down-low is that you can find car shows near you by zip code, category, date and other criteria.
You can find the calendar specifically at www.curbside.tv
The calendar portion of the site started after I put on a car show last summer and couldn't find a decent car show calendar on the 'Net. I also publish a syndicated auto column that appears all over the US.
I used to own a 65 Mustang myself that my sister and I bought to restore. I got about half-way through when it wrecked itself, sort of. You see, I had the car in reverse to adjust the back-up light switch on the tranny when a friend came over to check out the car. After asking if I had done a good job getting the motor back in shape I proceeded to show him by using a screwdriver to jump the starter terminal. Yep, the car started in reverse and that was its last ride.
Oh well. I had fun mostly restoring that old car and it was fun to drive around.
