Default need some horses

ok right now i have a mx-6 4cyl, and it is very slow... i have been looking at the fox 5.0 (87-93) and need some help. I am looking to save $4000 and buy a decent stang... what are some things to look for when buying a mustang of those years? rust any specific places? any grinding in a certain gear? I just want to know if $300 a month will be enough to maintain this car. the $300 does not include insurance or payments cause i will just pay for it cash.

listen man you never really know whats going to happen when buyin a 5.0... when i bought my 92' lx 5.0 my trans went out within 6 months and harmonic balancer went out a couple months after that, so you never really know when your buying something like that. my only suggestion is try and find one as close to stock as possible and do the performance work yourself.
