Hey all. Just joined forum. I recently bought an Atlantic Blue '99 GT w/ White Conv. top with the 35th anniversary package on it for $13000. Had 20k miles on it. (Actually rolled over 20 when the guy brought it for me to test =P). It's had meticulous care and he put a new short throw shifter in it and got the blinkers on sequential mode. Looks nice.

Anyway I was just wondering about the tires on it. The rears are the stock Goodyear ZR45's. They are showing a good bit of wear and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for replacements or if i should stick with the goodyears.

Also, I was thinking about getting new exhaust on it. I saw one driving a few days ago with a dual side exaust that looked kinda cool, but i had my windows up and radio LOUD and couldn't get it quiet in time to hear it. The guy i bought it from mentioned Basani (spelling?) systems. Any opinions would be helpful on this one.

Happy Roads to all.

Welcome to the forum, and good luck with your new ride. I hear good things about bassani exhausts. As for the tires I am not a big fan of goodyears but BFG's have never failed me. (i personally like the drag radials but not for cruising around) Comp TA's are good ones.

I hear that for tires Good Year F1's are really good (they come on the Corvette, they must not suck!). Also, if you look at Summit catalogs, they have a nice list in the Mustang only area!
