New Mustang Project
Hello All,
I'm presently the proud owner of a hulk of rusted metal that used to be a Playboy Pink 1967 Ford Mustang, and hopefully, will be again.
Hulk may be an exageration. The top portion of the body is in great shape, the trim is all intact, and there is not even a single dent. But as the car was not stored well, so the frame has rusted out, the floor panels are gone, and the doghouse is collapsing. I have only had the car for a few months, and my son and I are early in the dissassebly stage. The rust is making it slow going, but most of what I have taken off is salvagable or repairable.
I was really gald to find this community out here, and there are many questions I am sure to ask along the way. For example, were the frame rails on this vehicle painted the body color, or black? I had always assumed black, but there appear to be some pink paint flecks on the rear frame rails visible through the rust. Does anyone know? I will, of course, pose this question properly in the tech forums.
Well thank you all for this great forum. I hope to get to know many of you during the course of our project, and maybee even meet some of you at a car show or two once it is done.
Michael

Nice to hear from you folks. Thank you for the responces. Here's a few pics of my project.
Now I know what you are thinking: "That's a blue car, not pink!" Well the previous owner spray painted blue over the original pink. Fortunately, it's flaking off over almost the entire vehicle.
