Default New, soon to be owner, from TX

Hey guys, I'm looking at a '03 GT with a little more than 55,000mi for 12K. It has no engine mods, a customized exhaust, and an automatic transmission. Is there anything I should look out for when I take it out for a test drive? Any info is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Make sure the tranny is tight and shifts smoothly. Make sure the engine idles when you first put the tranny in gear with your foot on the brake. Look for rust and mismatched paint, overspray on the windows or under the body. How clean is the engine bay, tread on the tires, do all electronics work? Gauges, lights, power options, etc. Check the oil beforeyou take the test drive, is it clean(no metal shaving or signs of water). Check the outside lip of all four wheels( hot rodding and banging curbs ruin rims). Thats about all I can think of at the moment. Good luck, and post up some pics when you get her home. OH, Welcome!

Thanks for the info and the welcome guys. I just got back from the dealer and believe it or not they sold it from right under me. I had told them I was serious about buying it, but I guess they couldn't wait for me. Oh well, back to the drawing board I guess. They do have an '04 GT with 12,500 mi. for 16K, but it's a stick and an old knee injury won't let me enjoy driving it.
