Default mustang newbie with questions...

hey all, i was out looking at cars tonight (corvettes and mustangs)... i was really leaning towards the 06 GTO but tonight i sat in a cali special mustang and loved it. feels much more like a muscle car even just looking out the windows.

but i have a question or two, it seems like its really easy to get into the 12 mids with these new stangs, but i want 11 mids. is it doable? it seems like i cant find anyone doing mid/low 11s in these cars. im thinking maybe its because they are so new, but thats one of my questions. what does it take , and is it doable within reason? it seems like it is IMO.

also, how wide of tires can you fit on the back of these bad boys? id like to get something like a 315 on the back but dont want to cut up the car or anything... is this reasonable? i know on the terminators and cars of their generation its really easy to fit big meats out back.

i guess i have a lot of reading to do, but those are just a couple quick questions.

thanks all, i look forward to being part of the club.

Moose, go to the site, tirerack.com and they explain what you should look out for when outfitting a vehicle with tires other than stock. Obviouisly you have toto watch out for the sidewall of the tire to not intersect the inside of the wheel well as you mentioned 'tire cutting'. chk it out hope it helps.
