Hi....I'm Carol from LaGrange, GA. I'm looking into buying a white '05 Mustang GT Premium with IUP, dark charcoal leather int, can't
decide if I want auto or manual. Leaning more toward manual.....need to grow longer legs(hard to reach the clutch). This is my 50th birthday present to myself!!! BD is in Dec, but want to get it way sooner. How do you people out there afford the insurance?!! It's high on ME, and I have a clean record!! Love the forum...lots of info!!

Hello Carol, and welcome to the forums. You should start your ouw post. It's easy just click the new post button, when you are at the new member first page. I am sure you will get more welcomes, when members see a new thread start.

Anyway !! Welcome to the forums, and I suggest you drive both the 5spd, and the auto. You will hear a lot of posters, say 5spd or nothing. Well I bought the 05 Gt prem. 5 spd. and love it. However, I drove an auto GT too. It was impressive with the 5 spd auto, it shifts enough times to really feel like a preformance ride. I have heard people who do a lot of in town stop and go, lean this way and be happier.

Good luck on your decision !! and Happy B-day, when it gets here.

Oh YeaH, I don't know what part of the country you are in, I am 46 and pay about $850.00/yr. for my 05 GT, here in Indianapolis, In.

Welcome to the forums, I would definately go with exhaust first, you will definately love it, flowmaster gives a nice sound. Then maybe a cold air intake, and gears.
