4.6L Expedition sounding like a Mustang???
I actually just bought a 2004 Expedition with the 4.6L... I'm in love with the way the Mustang G.T and Cobra's exhaust sounds and would like to inherit this to my Expedition. Do they have a true dual or is it a cosmetic dual? Is this factory exhaust? Is it just the muffler I could change out, or would I have to go with a complete cat back system? The one thing I don't want is tips sticking out of the back and souding like a redneck truck. Not that I don't like that too, just not for this application. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Welcome to the forum. I looked at Explorers and Expeditions here in Indiana. They were rebating/dealer cash closeout discount $5000.00, on top of X-Plan. I toughed it out a got the 05 Mustang instead. Best of luck with your new ride !!

I also have a 2002 Expedition and I put flowmaster 2 chambers, on it and it sounds great, I have sigle inlet and dual outlet both going to the side behind the left tire. With the 4.6 and the 5.4 you can't go wrong with flowmaster. mustang or truck. I had an f150 with the 4.6 and did the same thing, my expedition has the 5.4.
