I don't quite get what i want it to look wider in the back without looking thinner when looking from the side means
You can put 10.5" rear wheels that will be wide in the back. Welcome to the site.

You whenyou look at the car from the side. like loe profile tire look skinny. so i dont want the back to look skinnier than the front from that view but i do want then wider when you look from the front or rear. other say to go with 18X9 front and 18X10 read what do you think?

18X9 F and 18X10 back would be fine But,,,,,,,, I still don't have a clue as to what you are talking about. From the side, you can't see how wide the front or back is. [sm=dontgetit.gif]

O yea, and welcome to the boards.

It sounds like you are talking about the reduced distance from the rim, to the ground on the low pro tires. Thus, the view from the side. Is this the look you are concerned with.
I know it sure can make it easy to lose a tire when you hit a pothole, and pinch a chunk out of the side wall (happened to me twice, one required a new rim too).

My recommendation is the same I gave to jagbits in his thread.

I think the 05s look great with 19 or 20 inch wheels. Anyone seen the BF Goodrich ad with the blue GT? It has 20s and they look normal bcz there is plenty of sidewall left. I also agree about going wider than stock. Definitely worth doing the first time. Just my .02.

I know you said you want 18s, but my choice if I had an 05 would be CCWs. I'd either get the SP500s or the 505As.
