My '89 is screwed!! But D.S.S. is on the way!!
Hey, I am new to this site. But I am a lover of Fords, Mustangs in particular. I bought my latest mustang, an 89 conv. with a paxton novi 1000 and not much else other than exhaust. Well, I had it for 3 weeks and it is down for the count. I guess it is just an early winter. I have plans for a stroker and reusing the supercharger. I am using a D.S.S. short block. I also plan to use a trick flow top end kit. Any suggestions out there. This is my first build. I have always bought my cars hopped up. I was told to use a 331 instead of 1 347 if it is going to be supercharged???? Please help.

For lower boost the 347 is fine, but if you have any hopes of 10+psi I'd invest in the 331, which the compression ratio is mostly the reason you do this.
I myself am getting a Kennebell 2.2 Blowzilla Flowzilla with BBK Intake, watch out with the Trickflow kit it's cam is not legal emissions wise for street use.
DSS can set you up pretty good, but be sure to reasearch your stuff, cuz like anyone it can become a Quaker versus Castrol scenario real quick. IE have you ever seen a Saleen owner genuinely respect a Roush owner? LOL no not much.
Paxton is pretty good too, but I'd upgrade to the 2k Novi if you decide to go with the 347 cuz at 10psi it can handle it fine. Over that is about where the issues grow.
My secound GT 89 hatch is being converted to a GT 500 style KB 2.8 Comp 4v 5.4 (331 in liter) but there is plenty of love for the Foxbody small block. KB just fails to build a 2.8 for the foxbody, something we should have fixed!
