Lurker finally pulled the trigger ...
So I called my buddy at a local Ford dealership about picking up a used '06. Said he sold the last one the week before. Oh well.
He calls me back and says he has a leftover '07 GT 'Vert, triple black, with auto, IUP, security, side airbags and appearance package. Told him I wanted a 5 speed -- he said go with an '08.
Well, a long story short ... got the '07 last Saturday. The deal was just too good ... $27.5K ++ and a great rate from Ford Motor Credit. Did the deal over the phone and by fax. Went to the dealership and they had her waiting. Left within the hour. How cool is that?
And the insurance was pretty good too -- $550 every 6 months.
I do have a problem though -- I think I have sunburn on my scalp! I'm loving it! Pics later.

Well I've been there with some of it, just not the convertable part. Or the dealership.
See my Jackie (89 GT) was a Scrapyard auctionier, little did anyone know this GT was still loaded and ready to run with under 73k miles all original with only minor issues like some panel damage and no air box and a busted MAF sensor.
So 3k later I'm sitting in her, still remembering how it rained and how I hated the damn slicks on the back which where a damn hell of a day getting up sixteen large hills (Washington size, think LA if you don't know that much) and ya it's been a great car, hella lot cheaper but it's a Fox so it's not exactly your purdy S197 (wishes good luck and Don't Drive drunk!)
