Mustang Virgin!
So yeah, you read right. Total Mustang, Ford and American Car virgin! Here is my story* .
I'm the new guy and I'm hear to learn as much as possible about Mustangs before I purchase one this coming spring. I Never owned a Mustang before... In fact I have never owned an American car before. My first REAL vehicle was a Dodge Ram SS/T in 1997 that I did all kinds of stuff to. Lots of good old American V8 power! I loved that truck but in 2002 after my wife and I had our Daughter and we both ended up in Honda civics (yeuckkk!). We were just starting out, reanting an apartment, I was finishing college, and the truck just wasn't in the budget. Well between then and now we have had another child, our Son, and I have purchased my wife a new Jeep Commander. So now my daughter is 5, my son is 2, we have a house and our finances are in much better standing. So what does that mean???? It's MY TURN! I have been driving that awful civic dx sedan since 2001. HELLO LACK OF TORQUE!!
When I started looking for a new vehicle I pretty much checked EVERYTHING out. When it comes to cars I am very open minded. I don't really fit into a specific group, because I simply love cars so much. I can see the value in cars like the WRX and EVO as well as in European cars. Although these cars have their strong points and I respect them for what they are, they definitely are not for me. Nope. I have been stuck behind a 4 banger for too long. Yeah, gas is expensive, but hey, I work hard, I deserve a guzzler! I decided that behind another big V8 was my only option. From what I can see, the Mustang has EVERYTHING beat by a long shot, not to mention it's stunning looks. So I went to the dealer to check one out. That sealed the deal! I had looked at the Charger and it felt very cheap. Not the case with the Mustang. When I started it that day I nearly laughed with excitement. That was it! After all, upon my recollection of my stoplight drag racing days of the SS/T, the only real competitor out there was, you guessed it, the Mustang.
So here I am... (long winded as you can tell by now) I probably wont be a very big poster here, not until I get the car anyway, but you can bet I will read just about everything I can in the 2005 + forum. I look forward to purchasing the car and posting my experiences here for you to read.
THANKS FOR READING!!
