Depends on which brand, but yeah a good set will cost between $400-$500 for a 4.6 Mustang. If you're going to upgrade though, it's a good place to start, because opening up your exhaust first magnifies future engine mods.

hehehe. same with gears by the way...i compare it to dividends on the stock market. you start off with an investment(gears), but you keep getting more and more out of it as you add more money (power). ok its not the best analogy, but it made sense to me<IMG src=smileys/smiley16.gif border="0">

One thing to note, don't even waste your money on shorties. The power gain, if any, is very negligible, and isn't worth the price of shorties. Spend the extra money and get some long-tubes. It will pay off, trust me.</P>

Long tubes will give about 15-17 HP to the wheels on a 4.6, not 10. I was thinking of the performance tune using that Computech tuner, or whatever the hell it's called. That will open up the bottom end really good.</P>
