*updated* Anxious MustangForums newbie says hi
Hey all, been lurking here for the past few days and it looks to be a great place.
I've had a '66 sixbanger coupe for 4-5 years now, got about a week's worth of driving out of it before the engine decided to crap out on me. Was my first car and I didn't put enough effort in finding a good one so now it's sitting in the garage waiting for the day for me and my dad to turn into a fun driver. Have a new 289 sitting in the engine bay but we're too lazy to get to work on it (for whatever reason, don't shoot me)
Bought a new mazda6 back in 05 even though the new stangs caught my eye, I wasn't sure I could afford one, so I basically "settled" for the mazda. Anyway, two and a half years of hate toward my car later, I decided to trade in for an 08 v6 coupe. Just signed the papers on Tuesday but it still hasn't arrived from ford, so I've been sitting/pacing/screaming/crying for the past few days while reading these forums waiting for the phone call (also haven't told any friends or family aside from the 'rents about it, so it's really eating me up.) Should be soon. Hopefully.
All's well though, I may not be able to touch it or see it yet, but I have my currently affordable (new) dreamcar now! I don't know crap about modding but it looks fun as hell, so I'll probably be taking part in it a bit.
Again, good to be here, see you around on the forums.
----update----
finally have the car!
I can be active and not feel bad now haha

Welcome to the forums, sounds like you have the makings of a very nice stable. Have any pics of the '66? Be sure to post some of the new addition when you get a chance.

I'll post some old pics of the 66 if I can find any, right now it's pretty dissected so not really worth showing lol. And still waiting for my car... its torture.
