Default With your help, a new car for me.

Hello Mustang fans. I've been away from the Blue Oval for some time. I sold my 1968 Fastback about 12 yrs. ago. I have regretted it ever since. In Februrary i purchased my first Ford in almost 15 years, a 2000 F250 Diesel. Now i'm ready to pick up an older Mustang 85sh-95sh. I'm well versed with differences in 60 Mustangs, but don't anything about later versions. I've learned from my mistakes in the past and now i know enough to ask others. What do you prefer? Does one handle better, does one have a history with warped heads. ect.. I kind of sold on a 5.0, but I'm sure the 4.6 is just as nice. Whats easier, cheaper to better to work with? Thanks for the help.

I spend last night reading about the differences in the third generation Mustangs and so far leaning toward to 89. Although i'm not a fan of the GT taillights. I read that the 2.3 SVO from 85 or 86 has 200 horsepower. Any thought on these?

Welcome to the forums. If I were you, Hopefully this is kind of a good answer, I would go for an 88 and up. Foxbodys are nice.

Well you can pick up the fox bodies cheap! And you can build up any of them easily. Parts are everywhere! They make awesome drag cars too. I like the style of the old foxes. You could probably build up a fox body from all the parts that are on ebay haha. not really but really damn close!
