Hey, been the owner of an 85 rustang GT for about 6 years now. My DD is a 95 Bronco XLT though. I've lurked for a while, but haven't signed up until now. I'm the owner and operator of carbdford.com, which is nowhere near as big as this forum. It's a nice little community though, and has some knowledgeable guys over there.

Anyway, as for some background info, I haven't turned a wrench on my mustang in like 2 years. It suffered a little damage during the random flooding we got here a couple years back. Needs floors real bad, but the body is otherwise sound. I wanna build a TT 306 for it.

As for me, I'm a graduate of WyoTech in Pennsylvania. I've been wrenching for close to 10 years now. I'm more of a backyard mechanic than anything. I love American muscle, and I can tolerate a few imports. . I'm not one of those "Ford vs. Chevy" guys. If it's a quality vehicle, I'll probably like it.

Hey there I have a 93 Gt and I want to take the smog pump off. It is not being used meaning the belt has been replace and rerouted. Do you know if it is as simple as removing the pump and bracket and pluging off lines that goes to and from it?

Yep. When I got my car, the smog pump was present, but not hooked up. I plugged the holes in the heads and removed the pump.

I hope you're running a catless system though. Cats will burn out with quickness without the smog pump.
