Default Bye Bye Bimmer, hello Stang?

Where do I begin? Well, to make a long story short, there have been 2 cars that have intrigued me since I was in my early teens. BMW 3 series and performance Mustangs (sorry but not the 4 (non SV0's) or 6cyl). I currently own an '01 325i with over 80k miles on it. It has provided me with many years of fun motoring, but now it's time to move on. I have had a deposit down on an M3 sedan for the last 4 months. However, BMW is really screwing us around and not releasing prices. Besides that, all the internet talk is that it will be close to $70k with taxes (gas guzzler a big one) and the options that I want. It is this collossal joke of a price that is most likely bringing me back to the Mustang. In high school I had an '87 GT which I absolutely LOVED. The sound of the engine / exhaust alone has made me a fan of American Muscle forever. I have not driven a Mustang since this '87 GT, so I'm not really sure if this new incarnation will excite me. I have a feeling it will, but who knows? CAn anyone offer some comparisons to the 225hp version from '87?

Anyway, I've been lurking for a few weeks now and just wanted to take a few minutes to introduce myself and say "Hi"!

Any and all suggestions on options or price paid over invoice would be greatly appreciated!

BTW: I'm considering the following:

Mustang GT Premium
California Special
HID Headlamps
Sirrius (although I'm not sure I can live w / the antenna on the trunk)

I have had my GT/CS for about a year now and i love it. I think the best thing i did was put Flow Master exahust on it. they sound good from the factory but man does it sound even better now, thats probably what made me buy the car.

I've heard a Flowmaster on a 97 Cobra and it was a little loud for the daily driving I plan on doing with my GT/CS.
