First stang! Did i pick a good one?
Hi all, 19 year old bought his first stang 3 days ago. its a 2000 gt convertable v8, bullitt wheels and sounds like it came with a new exhaust system. Bought it for 6500 cash moneis! with less than 88k miles. Came with a few scratches (some deep) here and there but overall the exterior looks good, a few other bad things....the guy didnt like how the engine sounded with the air filter on so he threw it away (i assume it was a KnN air intake system, by the stickers), i dont know how long hes been running without it[:@], but i went ahead and bought it that same day, and the car had trouble starting a couple of times, my dad checked it out and figured it was the battery, he was right so i had to spend some more on a battery. Lastly, another thing is that its standard, and my excitement got the best of me and i still went ahead and bought it[&:]....the only thing is that i never drove a standard so im pretty much clueless on how to run this baby the way it should be runned [X(]but im slowly getting there.
but what do you think guys, did i get a good deal though? or did i waste my hard earned bucks?
i will post pics, or mabye even a video tommorow morning.

WOW! worst experience ever!
me and my dad took it out for some practicing for a while when the brakes just go out! i stepped on the brakes all the way and pulled the hand break but still wouldnt stop! good thing we were just down the street from my house when this happened, we just pulled it in our driveway really fast and let it hit a bush.
my dad said the problem is something in the motor...but isnt it in the brakes?
i regret buying it now.

Take it to a mechanic it could be something simple. Did he tell you when it was last inspected? Also how did you get it to your house?
Glad your ok, that could have been deadly. Maybe do a VIN check too.
