Default New guy needs help! Trade my 2000Z28 for a stang?

Hello all! I've always been a camaro man, but lately the mustangs seemed to be getting my attention more and more. I love the 05's, but a 05 GT is out of my price range. I have seen several 2002-2004 used GT's in my price range. My current car is a 2000 Z28 with a 6speed. Its fully loaded with leather, t-tops, 12 disc cd changer, factory hurst shifter, and so on. I have put on a flowmaster exhaust, SLP Lid, and cold air kit. It runs great. I've run a 13.62@105, thats with the clutch getting a little worn and preventing quick shifts. I love this car, but the mustangs look tougher. I love the overall looks of the 1999 and up mustangs. The hood scoop and 17 inch rims look awesome. I also like the sound of mustangs. They of course have true dual exhaust, and the camaro is basically single with two tips out of one muffler. My wife loves mustangs and she feels more comfortable in one. My camaro is hard to see out of and judge distances with the long hood and raked windshield. My wife wants a sports car, but doesn't feel comfortable driving my camaro. I've almost wrecked it a few times myself. Most people agree a stock Z28 will outrun a stock GT. That doesn't concern me. I'm not going to be racing people. I just want a nice sports car that looks and sounds great, plus something my wife can drive and be comfortable in. I'm a member of a camaro message board and everyone there says to keep the camaro. I want to get everyones opinion here since its a mustang message board. Keep the Z28 or trade it on a mustang GT?
Thanks for any help or advice
Joe

Welcome to the forums!!!!!! [sm=welcomesign.gif] Well if you ask me you have already made up your mind on wich one to buy. You said that your wife would be happier in a mustang, so IMO why not make her happier get one and if you decide that it needs to be faster just modd it!!!! Best of both worlds and the wife is happy too!!!!!!!!!

Thanks guys for the advice. I'm going to look at a 2002 GT this weekend. I'll have a better comparison after looking and driving it.
Thanks again, Joe
