New Maryland Mustang
Hello All,
Just thought I would post a quick Newbie thread. Hope to learn a lot from the people and other members of this forum. Short story - I've been a gym rat for the last 16 years and I decided to get out of the gym more with another hobby. So, I picked up an all Original 1988 5.0 GT. Three weeks ago I finished with rehabing the whole rear end with upper/lower control arms, FR lowering springs, KYB adj shock and 3:73 gears to go with the 5 lug conversion and disk brakes. Over the Presidents weekend I did a motor swap and rehab of the front suspension. Talk about a full weekend. I rebuilt a 306 cobra motor with 24# inj and ProM 24# MAF, FMS roller rockers, B303 cam, 3 valve port and polished, with everything up front new(distributor, water pump, altenator) which all feed BBK long tube headers and BBK H-pipe to SLP loud mouth cat back turndown exhaust. For the suspension: FR lowering springs, KYB struts, bumpsteers, link ends, steering rack and 5lug conversion. I'm running 17x9 with 245/45 front and 275/40 rear Sumitomos. Next begins the body work
Thanks and nice to meet all of you. Hope to swap insight

RE: New Maryland Mustang
Welcome aboard. The 1988, is thats still a 4 eyed fox? I was never a real mustang fan, that is until my brother in law let me do a burnout in his 1985 LX when I was 15yrs old. I fell in love w/ the 4 eyed beast since then.

RE: New Maryland Mustang
Nope I believe in 86 was when the 4 eye went to the 6 piece headlight set. I was torn between doing a 1960's hobby versus something newer and being I wanted a Gt with t-tops in highschool I decided to find one that was 20years old so I could have some fun with modin' it out. Now just like you I think I'm in love haha now I need to name her
