Default Old Timers me and the car

Just bought a 70 grabber a couple weeks ago.It needs serious work (but she made the hour and a half drive home ). I probably got in way over my head with this one but I hope I can make a decent daily driver out of it.

What I wouldnt give to have you here helpin me with it ! Im still in the tear down / nervous breakdown phase. I probably wont do alot of repair until after carlisle , hopefully I can save up some extra funds by then . I did buy a nice set of front fenders yesterday down in Raleigh NC , Im not ready fo them yet but they are hard to find in that condition. If I can turn this thing into a decent driver Ill probably sell my 07, I was just about to buy a bunch of upgrade stuff for it when I found the 70. Thanks for writeing, It kinda helps keep me motivated to hear from other Mustang people.

lol.. i'll take my vacation, and come for a visit... don't know how the wife would like that, but oh well, she'll get over it.. ha ha... i can see her face now... "honey, this year, we're going to work on a mustang for vacation" [sm=chairshot.gif] the boys would love it though

sounds like you're well on your way there, congrats on the fender find... i would assume it's a little easier for a 70' than a 65' or so... just because of sheer volume... although i could be wrong... i helped a buddy restore a 65' coupe about 15yrs ago.. back then he sunk $8k into her, brought her back to close to factory short of theB&M shifter.. but his dad owned an old body shop, so he body prep'd andpainted her himself.. saved alot of money.. but the goober went and ran it in a ditch like 2 weeks after we got done... i was soo mad... ahh well, keep up the good work.. throw up some more pics when you get a chance... can't wait to see more..
